Our terry cloth is made from 100% cotton and measures at 45" wide. Terry cloth is a fabric with uncut loops deliberately standing away from its ground base. This fabric is woven using two warp beams: the ground warp, which forms the base of the towel, and the pile warp, which creates the loops of thread that give the fabric its rugged texture and function. The cotton loops act as small sponges, enhancing its absorbency while maintaining a soft yet durable quality. Terry cloth is an easy-care fabric that holds up to repeated use and laundering.
Terry cloth has traditionally been used for towels, but it has many other uses as well. Because of its absorbent loops, terry cloth is commonly used for towels, bath robes, beach cover-ups, athletic warm-ups and headbands. Terry cloth can easily be dyed or printed, as well as decoratively embroidered. Terrycloth is also used as furniture upholstery, outdoor cushion and pillow covers.
