Description
The gingham fabric is a lightweight polyester/cotton blend consisting of 90% polyester and 10% cotton. This light weight fabric weighs approximately 3.3oz and is 60” wide. It is a slightly sheer fabric that is thin, breathable and has a matte finish. In addition, it has a soft crisp texture with unfinished edges, making it ideal for all types of crafts and garments. Oppose to our ginghams with square patterns that are 1/12” and 1/4”, this gingham fabric has a 1/8" square pattern throughout, making it the medium size of our gingham collection.
This fabric can be used in a numerous amount of applications. The pattern of the fabric makes it perfect for t-shirts, skirts, costumes, table covers, curtains, bags and more! It's an easy to use fabric that is also conveniently machine washable.
The Gingham fabric is manufactured in 90 yard rolls but there is no minimum purchase required! We offer the fabric in various colors and in different size patterns as well. I ordered two yards each of light blue and royal blue gingham. I needed something to go with a couple pairs of blue pants. The material has a fairly high percentage of polyester, so required no ironing. It was pleasant to work with, and both shirts are now hanging in my closet waiting for summer.

It is the perfect fabric for Spring clothes, which is why I bought it. It is a polyester and cotton blend, which means that it won't be wrinkling. My new fashion is from old fashion...the 1920s are back in style for 2020! Get you pretty Gingham and sew up a flapper dress...don't forget to make a Cloche hat, as well!
