Made from polyester fibers, Ottertex® Marine Vinyl fabric features a heat sealable backing for easy application and is coated with polyvinyl chloride to be completely waterproof Ottertex® Marine Vinyl is a soft and smooth fabric that keeps its shape when adjusted.
Ottertex® Marine Vinyl is a 600 GSM, heavy-weight fabric weighing approximately 32 ounces per linear yard. Ottertex® Marine Vinyl measures 54 inches in width and is 0.9 millimeters thick. Furthermore, Ottertex® Marine Vinyl fabric is such a durable fabric that it can resist mold, mildew, and withstand a minimum of 200 hours of direct UV sunlight. If you need more sun resistance or durability, try our Ottertex® Solution-Dyed Acrylic Waterproof fabric. Faux Leather by Ottertex for 1952 Packard seats
The faux leather was very pliable yet strong enough to stretch in just the right ways to make completing restoration of the seats in a 1953 Packard. It was a pleasure seeing even French Seams that were easy to stitch across several plies of materials.
