Sewing with 100% real silk is a treat and Fabric Wholesale Direct makes it possible. Although prices have gone up - for really special projects it is worth the cost. The curtains have a soft sheen and the fabric is sturdy and nicely woven. Silk shreds on cut edges so it is important to serge the cut edges as soon as possible. Highly recommend.

The fabric is absolutely beautiful - pure luxury. A pleasure to work with. I am making a dress for my wife and the design is testing all my skill but it is slowly getting finished. I have attached some "in progress" pictures.

absolutely beautiful fabric!!!! Perfect body and semi matte sheen. Exactly what I was looking for! I dyed it to look aged as I was reproducing an outfit from the 1930's.
